Antoine Silvestri was born to an Austrian mother and an Italian father. He grew up in a family highly committed to Communism. Because of his origins, very early, he had to fight prejudices and built himself against them. He grew up listening to the Punk music of the Sex Pistols and the Clash. He began creating tracts and fanzines, and then drew his first “bande dessinée”. He is also a painter and cartoon producer for film documentaries. Belonging is his first graphic novel.
